Conquest is an ancient Viltrumite warrior known for his power and brutality.
History
Origins
Conquest receiving his injuries from the Rognarr
Conquest was born on Viltrum and was one of the few Viltrumites who survived The Scourge Virus. After the infection left his system, Conquest found himself vulnerable and his strength greatly diminished. Arriving on a planet inhabited by The Rognarr, his right arm was ripped off, his face permanently scarred, and he was blinded in his right eye.[1]

When Kregg reported to Grand Regent Thragg about potential planets that could be of interest he mentioned Fantania, which was currently under the cruel rule of the Juggernaut of Emsiu, and Thragg decided to send Conquest to gather informations.[2] Kregg discovers Conquest's house, only to discover his clothes but not him[3], but finding him on a lush greenish blue like planet, devouring the remains of his victims.[4]
Conquest left for Fantania but when he arrived he found no traces of the planet rulers, he instead found Battle Beast who claimed to have killed them, which picked Conquest's interest.[5]
Invincible War: The Aftermath
The news reports about what happened in the Invincible War. Many cities were leveled and thousands killed. Savage Dragon is interviewed and says that the Mark from their reality is not responsible. Mark watches in horror as Eve clings to her life in a coma. Cecil arrives to ask Mark for help in the clean-up effort. Mark accepts, but says that he will not work for Cecil again. The various Image Comics superheroes help with the clean-up of Manhattan and begin saving those who survived the aftermath.
Conquest appears before Mark to check his status of his Viltrumite duties on Earth
Mark begins helping with the clean-up effort and notices many dead bodies, deepening his depression. Then, an aged Viltrumite arrives on the scene to inform Mark of his Viltrumite duties.
The Viltrumite reveals his name to be Conquest, and he reminds Mark that if he hasn’t helped take over the planet by now, he will be replaced, and if he resists, he will be killed. Mark tells him that it isn’t a good time. Conquest responds that Viltrum Empire knew of Mark's resistance, which is why they sent Conquest specifically. He tells Mark that he has never failed in conquering a planet, and Mark will die if he fights back. Mark responds that he has been waiting for someone to fight as an outlet for his rage. The duo charge into each other, causing a large shockwave around the area.[6]
Conquest and Mark collide into each other
Mark uses the opportunity to punch him, but Conquest isn’t affected and simply smiles. Mark becomes angry and rushes into him, sending him through a building. Conquest lifts the debris and holds Mark by his neck with one arm. Mark smashes his fist on Conquests' temple. Conquest smiles and replies “very good.” Mark punches him again, and it launches him into orbit.
Invincible vs Conquest
Conquest smiles again and charges back to the stratosphere and collides with Mark. Mark is able to break his hold this time, reminding Conquest that he already used that trick. Conquest states “enough games” and punches Mark in the eye hard enough to break one of his monocles. Mark flies down at a fast speed while Conquest pummels him. Mark holds hand over his eye, which is severely brushed from Conquest’s punch. Oliver, Debbie, and her boyfriend Paul witness Mark’s battle on the news. Oliver rushes to help him, worrying Debbie. Paul assures her that the duo can handle the battle.
Oliver attempts to catch up to Conquest and Mark, but the duo are moving too fast. Mark attempts to talk with Conquest, but Conquest refuses to stop since he’s genuinely enjoying the battle. Oliver ambushes him and Conquest demands to know who he is. Mark rushes to save Oliver and throws him aside so he can escape. Conquest pushes Mark down with his elbow at his neck.
Mark headbutts Conquest, much to his amusement. He catches Mark last punch and says if he this is all the strength he has, he will likely die. Under the Pentagon, Cecil learns of the battle and rushes to see if D.A. Sinclair has the 4 alternate Marks ready as Reanimen. Sinclair informs him that their dense tissue makes him unable to cut through to make the Reanimen process. Cecil looks in horror, stating “ then God help us all."[7]
Conquest pummels Eve with minimal effort
Oliver interrupts and catches him off guard and helps Mark up. Oliver uses Conquest advanced age as a reason they can beat him. Conquest argues that him being old doesn’t mean you should underestimate him. He swats Mark away to fight Oliver. He punches Oliver, making lose many teeth, and breaks his arm. Conquest attempts to rip him in half, but Mark stops him. He goes back to fighting Mark and Cecil has a med-team pick up Oliver.
A concerned Debbie learns that Oliver is alive and Paul comforts her. William, Rick, Amber Bennett, Gary, and Art watch in horror seeing Mark overwhelmed by the stronger Conquest.

Conquest laughs in Mark’s face after he said before. Conquest tells Mark to do his worst and the duo charge into one another. The duo punch one another, causing Mark to break his forearm and Conquest’s cybernetic arm to be destroyed from the impact. An amused Conquest is distracted and Mark attacks him. Conquest attempts to bear-hug Mark, but Mark bites him, tearing off his muscle tissue.
While Conquest and Mark fight, Eve wakes up from her near death state and rebuilds her body. Mark pummels Conquest until he is distracted by Eve’s revival. Conquest punches while he distracted and Eve fires a beam of energy at Conquest, burning much of his skin. A naked Eve loses consciousness and Conquest goes to kill Eve. Mark begins to pummel Conquest, saying that he won’t touch Eve.

He catches his punch and breaks Marks hand, causing him to scream in pain. An amused Conquest laughs as Mark is in pain. Mark headbutts Conquest to the point where his face is disfigured. Mark loses consciousness and sees a naked and unconscious Eve. Mark tells Eve that he loves her with her returning it. The Guardians of the Globe, Youngblood, Savage Dragon and various Image Comics superheroes arrive to the scene to transport them.
After three days, Mark wakes up from his coma after being patched up from having his forearm broken, hand broken, skull fractured, and his leg broken. Eve visits him, relieved to see him awake. She asks if he remembers what happened. The thought of it makes him cry and how he thought she died.
She reveals to Mark that with emotional trauma, she can use her powers on living, organic matter, overriding the mental blocks installed in her brain by the government. She reveals that it happened to her before. Mark notices the incident had increased Eve’s bust size and this leads to an intimate moment. Meanwhile under the Pentagon, Cecil rushes D.A. Sinclair to finish the Invincible Reanimen to ready for battle.
Mark and Eve’s intimate moment is interrupted by Debbie and Paul. Eve wipes her lips and apologizes. Debbie sees Mark and begins to cry tells Mark that he doesn’t need to be a superhero anymore. Debbie leaves with Paul and Cecil enters. He asks Mark to talk and Mark asks where is Conquest. Cecil shows him the dead body. Mark sees the body and goes back to Eve. Mark goes to see Oliver, but Eve tells him that she can’t go with him. She informs him that Rex’s funeral is happening. Mark asks to come along and she accepts. Mark, Eve, and various Image Comics superheroes including Robot, Bulletproof, Brit, Capes, Inc, The Immortal, Dupli-Kate, Savage Dragon, Superpatriot, Donald Ferguson, Black Samson, and various others.[9]

- Viltrumite Physiology: Conquest was a Viltrumite of exceptional power, often considered to be the second strongest member of his species, surpassed only by Thragg. Cecil Stedman considered him to be the strongest attacker that Earth ever faced.[7]
- Reactive Adaptation: A Viltrumite's power naturally grow stronger with age and exercise. Conquest's old age was likely a deciding factor in his incredible power.[8]
- Superhuman Strength: As one of the oldest Viltrumites ever seen Conquest possessed incredible levels of physical strength. Conquest had a clear advantage over Invincible through their entire battle and often overpowered him without effort.[7] He easily broke one of Kid Omni-Man's arms and almost ripped him in half, broke one of Invincible's legs with a single strike and effortlessly broke through Atom Eve's force fields before impaling her with his hand.[8] He freed himself from the 400 tons prison built by the GDA without too much effort.[10]
- Superhuman Stamina: Conquest was able to fight a gruesome battle against Invincible and only got slightly winded by the end.[9]
- Invulnerability: Conquest' resistance to damage is impressive even for a Viltrumite. While able to draw blodd most of Invincible's blows failed to cause significant damage, with Conquest simply shrugging them off without even being stunned.[7] Invincible was able to bite off a chunk of his shoulder but the damage was mostly superficial, he also survived a full-power blast from Eve that left him horribly burned and kept fighting until Invincible shattered his skull with several headbutts.[9]
- Superhuman Speed: Conquest could move at incredible speed while fighting. Invincible himself had trouble keeping up with him during their fight.[7]
- Flight: Conquest could fly at incredible speed. His battle against Invincible moved around the world so fast that Kid Omni-Man could not keep up wuth his flight speed.[7]
- Interstellar Travel: Like all Viltrumites Conquest could reach speeds faster than light while in space, enabling him to travel to distant planets in little time.[10]
- Enhanced Lung Capacity: Conquest could keep his breath at least for days as he was able to travel between planets without needing to breathe.[10]
- Enhanced Healing Factor: Conquest could recover from injuries that would have killed any other humanoid faster than normal. Afte Invincible shattered his skull he was able to completely recover in a few weeks.[10]
- Decelerated Aging: As a Viltrumite Conquest aged slower the older he got. He was older than Nolan Grayson, who was around 2000 years old, and still had the vitality of a young man.[8]

- Hand-to-Hand Combat: Conquest was a veteran warrior who displayed great skill in unarmed combat despite relying mostly on his brute strength.[8]
- Intimidation: Conquest's attitude and brutality could greatly upset his opponents.[8]
Weaknesses
- Missing Limb: Conquest lost his right arm while fighting a group of Rognarrs.[1]
- Partial Blindness: Conquest's right eye was damaged while fighting the Rognarrs and it never healed properly due to the effects of The Scourge Virus.[1]

- Although dead in the main Invincible Universe, Conquest would appear again in an alternate reality in which Mark Grayson is Emperor of the Viltrum Empire, and Earth was conquered by them.[12]
- Conquest and Battle Beast are often labeled as the most battle crazed warriors of the series and will fight each other in Battle Beast's prequel comic.
- Conquest is often labeled as the second strongest viltrumite, with Thragg as the first at the time.
- Conquest appears in Omni-Man's arcade ending in Mortal Kombat 1.
- Conquest is a cannibal and has been seen eating his victims.[13]
