History

Origin

Lucan is thousands of years old and was born on Viltrum.[1]

Serving The Viltrum Empire

Lucan alongside Randee and an unnamed Viltrumite would find Allen the Alien eating at a Talescrian restaurant.[2] After interrogating him about Nolan and his son, The trio attempted to kill him and dismembered, disemboweled, and hit with enough power to cause his eye to pop out. They then left, leaving Allen to die in space.[3] The trio would go to Thraxa in search of Nolan and lay waste to the planet. Lucan discovers Mark in the cave and tells him that he will serve by his side if he wins, or die if doesn't.[4] Lucan looks in shock at the fact that he is defending Andressa and Oliver Grayson. Andressa moves to the end of the cave and Mark punches him so that the three of them can escape. Lucan remarks that he will never advance in rank if he lets his guard do. He manages to catch up to the three, but Nolan attacks him. Nolan emerges victorious from their battle with Lucan's blood all over his hands.[5] After Mark and Nolan battled Randee and the unnamed Viltrumite, Lucan emerged, though Nolan thought he was dead. He broke Nolan’s back while holding up his intestines. He mocks him for not making sure he was dead and succumbs to his injuries, losing consciousness. He is transported by the Viltrumites to have his injuries tended to.[6]

Lucan would be one of the Viltrumites that fight in the Viltrumite War. He would go with Conquest and Randee to intercept Mark, Nolan, Oliver, Allen, and Tech Jacket (Zack Thompson). He would briefly dominate Oliver before fighting Nolan, hoping to get revenge on him. After the Graysons disappear with Conquest, he goes with Randee and retreat to Viltrum.[7] He would battle the Coalition of Planets again and survive Viltrum's explosion. He would retreat with the Viltrumites to Earth after their battle ended.[8] Lucan would hide among Humans there and take the appearance of a businessman [9]

Post-Viltrumite War

Sometime during his time on Earth, he would find a mate and grow to love her, showcasing that Earth has changed him like Nolan and Kregg. He would be reprimanded by Thragg for only having offspring with one woman. He would defend his actions as he says that his mate was hurt by someone who cheated on her and that he wouldn't want to do that to her. An angry Thragg tells them to leave and Lucan continues to say that he hasn't exposed himself to Earth.[10]

Attributes

Powers

  • Viltrumite Physiology: While Viltrumites are biologically indistinguishable from Humans their bodies are made of "Smart Atoms", atoms with variable properties which can be arranged to produce several useful properties. Viltrumites can harness background energy to augment their natural abilities to an extreme degree.[11]
    • Reactive Adaptation: A Viltrumite's powers will naturally grow stronger with age[11], but they can also be increased by repeatedly pushing them to their limits.[12]
    • Superhuman Strength: Thanks to the chemical bonds involved in muscle contractions in their bodies being several thousand times stronger than in a human's a Viltrumite's strength is far greater than that of most humanoids.[11] The upper limit may differ from individual to individual due to different factors like exercise and age but it is known that adult Viltrumites are able to lift in excess of 100 tons.[13]
    • Superhuman Speed: Viltrumites are capable of mentally controlling their atoms to gain inertia in one direction, giving them the ability to move at incredible speed.[11]
    • Superhuman Stamina: Thanks to their more efficient chemical processes Viltrumites generate less fatigue toxins than humans, allowing them to fight and move for extended periods of time without collapsing from exhaustion.[11]
    • Superhuman Endurance: Viltrumites have endurance beyond human capabilities and have survived disembowelment, touching lava, and bomb blasts without permanent physical damage.
    • Flight: Due a complex combination between a balancing system located in their inner ears, their ability to generate inertia and their ability to manipulate gravitons Viltrumites have the ability to fly at incredible speed.[14]
    • Interstellar Travel: Viltrumites can survive in outer space without aid as long as they can hold their breath. Viltrumites subconsciously create force fields to protect their bodies from the heat and friction of re-entry.[11] Outside of a planetary atmosphere Viltrumites can push their inertial flight to its limits, causing small subspace jumps that multiply their speed well above the speed of light.[13]
    • Enhanced Lung Capacity: Viltrumites can hold their breath for up to two weeks without breathing.[15][11]
    • Invulnerability: Thanks to their stronger atomic bonds Viltrumites bodies are virtually invulnerable to all forms of conventional damage and extreme temperatues.[11]
    • Enhanced Healing Factor: Viltrumites bodies possess extremely efficient chemical processes involved in growth and repair and can rapidly heal from injuries that would normally kill humans.[11] Viltrumites cannot regenerate lost limbs[16] and damage to their heart can limit the effectiveness of their healing factor.[17]
    • Decelerated Aging: Viltrumites age at an extrmely slow pace and have the potential to live for thousands of years and still be in their physical prime.[13] A Viltrumite's aging slows the older they get.[18]
    • Dominant Genetics: As Viltrumite DNA aggressively reproduces itself a Viltrumite's offspring will share Viltrumites characteristics and, as their Viltrumite DNA replaces the hybrid DNA, will slowly turn them into pure Viltrumites with age.[19][11]
    • Enhanced Senses: While not superhuman the senses of a Viltrumite are sharper than those of most other humanoids.[11]
  • Viltrumite Weaknesses
    • Vulnerable Ears: When a Viltrumite's equilibrium in their ears is disturbed, mainly by frequency, it can cause extreme pain and may even possibly kill them. Depending on how strong the frequency is determines that pain of attack.[20]
    • Short-Tempered: All Viltrumites are quick to anger and easily react violently to stressful situations.[21]
